After having a few rounds at the pro-arm round on Wednesday, Tiger Woods joked with the press that he believes his game has significantly since missing out the cut for the second time in his career at the U.S. Open. “Obviously nothing much has improved,” he went on to add.
Woods, who basically appeared lost at Chambers Bay and as result ended up having terrible 80-76 rounds, showed signs that he is slowly getting back to his form, be it the practice sessions. For the practice session, Woods did not miss any fairway as well as every green that was on the front nine. To add on to that he ended up avoiding hitting the chip until he was at the 11th hole.
Woods recently took a short summer break with his family at the Bahamas after failing to make the cut at the U.S. Open, the second time in his career that he failed to do so, and he does believe that he needed that break before taking any part in the upcoming Greenbrier Classic.
“I basically took my kids to Albany where we spent pretty much most of days just diving in the water,” Tiger Woods said while addressing the media. “I would say that I had a very nice family vacation down there. It felt nice to finally have a summer break with my kids. The vacation was also nice for me especially after the way I played at the Open, I just needed time off from everything golf before playing this week.”
