Masters Buildup Begins For Rory Mcllroy at Cadillac

Rory Mcllroy is not thinking about history that waits at the Masters.
While speaking to reporters the famed golfer said that his mind is not at the Masters despite the fact that h is always talking about it.
Rory Mcllroy, who missed the cut for the first time in eight months at the Honda Classics, will be leading the strongest field at this year’s Cadillac Championship. This is the first time since the 2012 PGA Championship that every golfer who is in the top 50 in the world ranking will be competing at the same tournament.

Mcllroy, 25, will have a chance at the Masters to do what only Tiger Woods has managed to do and that is the only player to hold all four major golf titles at the same time. In addition to that world number one, Rory Mcllroy, also has a chance of becoming the only sixth player to ever complete the Grand Slam at the Masters.

When asked about what awaits him at the Masters on Wednesday, Mcllroy, said that, “'I think I'd rather have the questions, because it's obviously a great position to be in going into Augusta and having it be the only major that I haven't won,” adding that, “It's not a bad position to be in. There's always excitement and anticipation and hype that surrounds Augusta every year, and I feel it regardless if I'm going in as the favorite or under the radar or whatever.”

“'There's always hype,'” McIlroy said. “There's always buildup. My name is getting thrown around a little bit more than it used to, but I'm OK with that.”
